Calibrachoa hybrid 'Superbells Grape Punch'

Details
Calibrachoa hybrid 'Superbells Grape Punch' is unusual and eye-catching because of the near-black throat accenting the purple flowers. Blooms continuously all summer and fall. Calibrachoa is best in containers including hanging baskets where it can display its fabulous trailing habit. Keeping plants too wet can lead to root rot diseases. Allow the top of the soil to dry before watering again. If your plant is wilting even though the soil is still damp you likely have a root rot problem. Self-cleaning, no deadheading necessary.
Growing Tips
Calibrachoas are ph sensitive and need a well-draining soil. Typical garden soils are not acidic enough to keep Calibrachoas from having stunted, yellow growth. They perform best in a good quality potting soil such as our own Kaw Valley "Good Stuff". For beds with typical garden soils we recommend the similar looking "Littletunia" series of Petunias, which are not so ph sensitive. If you have problems with budworms (blooms and buds getting chewed away) we recommend Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew. It's safe enough to be used for organic growing, and we have seen excellent results. We carry this fantastic product at our Kaw Valley Garden Centers.
