Rhubarb 'Crimson Cherry' is a classic perennial with tart-flavored red and green stalks that are excellent in pies, jellies and desserts. This variety is more red and a little sweeter than other rhubarb varieties. Young stalks are most tender. For stronger plants, wait until the second year to harvest. Plants may go dormant mid-to late summer. Never eat leaves.
