Hedera helix 'English Ivy' adds rich texture to a wide range of landscape situations. Ideal as a ground cover for shades sites, for erosion control on slopes, or as a vine for climbing walls. Does well under trees to cover bare ground. Can be invasive.

Growing Tips

Be aware when planting around trees that the rootlets on the ivy attach to the tree and if the ivy becomes thick enough on the tree, it could possibly harm the tree. Clear ivy from trees by cutting the stem at the base of the tree and allow ivy branch to die before removing so that you don't harm tree bark.
