Pelargonium Interspecific 'Calliope Crimson Flame'
Home / Our Plants / Hybrid Geranium
Details
'Calliope' represents a new class of geraniums after years of breeding. This breakthrough plant is a cross between a zonal geranium and an ivy geranium, representing the best features of both. 'Calliope' Crimson Flame has large flowers, like a zonal geranium, that are semi-double with dark green leaves and semi-trailing habit like that of an ivy geranium. It blooms all-summer long, and is highly heat and drought resistant. Plants grow best in a location with at least four hours of full sun. Calliope is extremely well-branched and its vigorous mounding habit is superb for hanging baskets, mixed containers, window boxes and garden beds.
For best flower display, deadhead or remove spent blooms as needed especially after heavy rain.
