In the late summer, Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln' displays feathery, mauve, bottlebrush plumes above slender, arching, dark green foliage. Leaves turn golden in the fall. Dwarf Fountain Grass is beautiful as a sunny landscape specimen or in mass plantings. Prefers well-drained soil. Heat tolerant.
