One of the easiest to grow Aloes, Blue Elf is a tight clumping aloe with narrow upright gray-blue leaves that contrast well with its pretty spikes of orange flowers that attract hummingbirds. Useful in containers or rock gardens, this great long-blooming Aloe hybrid originated in South Africa. Also known as California Aloe, it blooms from early winter to early spring. Can be grown in sun or shade or brought inside as a houseplant. Be sure soil is thoroughly dry before watering.
